I find it much easier to dress for work and formal occasions that I do to dress for the weekend and strike a balance between fun and casual. My other weak point is layering. Why does it matter? It doesn’t I suppose, but there’s something much more interesting about an outfit with several components than a simple jumper over jeans. From a purely practical point of view, it’s often the warmer option too.

I’ve a big fan of leopard print accessories, but when it comes to larger expanses, I’ve never really taken the leap. Traditional shades of caramel and brown leopard print can look to obvious and the colours don’t suit my skin tone as well as this snow leopard jumper.

It’s a weekend outfit, (I was going to see Becky and meet baby Connie) so I just threw a few things into my new Alphabet bag and put my brogues on. A bit of everyday sparkle to dress things up for meeting a friend and I was good to go!

PS! After weeks of tropical brights in Florida, I wasn’t quite ready for greys and oxblood for my nails. This violet shade by Orly was perfect for winter brights but acknowledges the shift in seasons.
